Reviewing The 2024 Toyota RAV4 Limited

Hey everyone! Today we are going to be reviewing a 2024 Toyota RAV4 Limited!

Under the hood, we have a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter 4-cylinder that goes through an 8-speed automatic transmission. Fuel economy is 25 mpg around town and then 33 on the highway, with power outputs being 203 horsepower and then 184 lb-ft of torque.

How Does The 2024 Toyota RAV4 Look?

Starting with the hood, it's flat there in the center and then kind of raises up on either side. And then, I'm a huge fan of the new RAV4 headlight design; I think it looks really sharp! It’s got fog lights down below, parking sensors integrated into the front end with that, kind of like gray Grille coloration, which is really cool, Toyota logo, and notice there's a camera up front too.

Putting it all together, the new RAV 4 just looks so aggressive now.

Around the side, our tire-wheel setup is 235/55R19 in the front and over in the rear. The wheels got a satin finish on them, and then big chunky fender flares. The little splash guard behind that and the rest of the bodywork on the side.

Looking at the side profile, the contrast between some of the satin elements and everything with the gloss looks pretty good.

Now the key fob. We have our lock and unlock function; we have the opening here for the hatch, and the Toyota logo is there on the back with the RAV4 logo as well.

At the cargo area, we've got a cargo cover built-in from the factory, and then we have the JBL sound system, which is pretty cool. But yeah, plenty of storage space here in the back, and it's one of the big benefits of the RAV4’s very spacious overall. And then, when you're all done, just press the button, and that will lower the hatch right back down.

The taillights kind of arc down a little bit. It has the Limited badge down below, that RAV4 badge on the other side, the parking sensors, and those exhaust tips are aggressive!

Decent Interior With Proper Amount Of Tech

The door panel has a soft touch and cool stitching that goes across. I like that trim piece on it; that kind of creates a little bit of contrast. Now these seats are very interesting; we've never seen this in a RAV4 before with this coloration! Now, legroom here in the back's really good; we also have some vents and USB ports as well, and then headroom? It's good! I almost forgot that we have heated seats in the back too!

Now take a look at the rest of the door panel; you see soft touch here, and then we got our window controls, mirror adjustments, memory seat function, and then you can see blind spot monitoring with the mirrors, and then I like that grey chim nose perforated all down the center portion. Power adjustments on this side, and then the camera system, heated steering wheel switch, and then another switch to open up the hatch.

Now taking a look at the steering wheel, you can see soft touch all around; you've got black dot stitching there in the center; we've got stuff like our adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, volume, voice command controls, and controls for the center stack as well; and then you got your regular stocks here on the back.

About The Tech

Silver 2024 Toyota RAV4 SUV Gauge Cluster

We've got the digital gauge cluster here in the center; we can use it to scroll through different bits of information here with the car—pretty standard stuff. But what's not so standard is the drive mode select, so we got a cool little animation when we changed the drive mode, sport mode, for example, and it sits there for like a minute and you get kind of more red background there.

We also have the normal drive mode, and we've got an eco mode. We’re going to push in for normal, plus we also have some off-road modes, so we've got a rock mode and then a rock and dirt mode, which is kind of interesting! Now, this does have a 360-degree camera system, trajectory lines turned with the steering wheel, and the resolution is pretty solid.

As for the rest of the infotainment system itself, there is a shortcut bar here on the side, and it responds well. So we think that's a plus, and we like the fact that you have an analog volume control; that's good.

The dash here on the RAV4 is actually soft touch, which is nice, and the same thing with this trim here, and then you get storage above the glove box, and the glove box itself is pretty spacious. Dual Zone climate controls, and we also have controls for heated and ventilated seats just down below that, and a wireless phone charging pad with some more charging ports, and you can see a parking brake right next to an auto hold, a shifter for the 8-speed automatic transmission, and then our whole drive mode select setup right here with Hill Descent Control built in and some cup holders!

At the center console, there’s good storage space, USBs, all of that fun stuff, and, I guess last but not least, we do have a sunroof up top.

Let's see how it drives!

Torquey And Powerful For A Four Cylinder

Setting off in the RAV4 Limited, this is like the luxury RAV4, hence the $40,000 price tag. First off, these seats are really comfortable, and I think it's cool that they have heated and ventilated functions. You know, some of the competition isn't offering features like that, and it’s nice that Toys does that with the RAV4.

We like the transmission quite a bit; it's pretty quick to shift, and it's smooth as well. The RAV4 handles well and is pretty comfortable over the little manhole cover. It's doing a pretty good job with how it drives! We like the steering; it's got a little bit of a weighted feel to it, which we can definitely appreciate.

It's so comfortable with everything and pretty quiet too; obviously, we're not going super fast, but still, I mean, it seems like it's got decent insulation.

We think they did a good job with the comfort here with the new RAV4 compared to the old RAV4. It's interesting to see the style difference between them. Pretty good power for a four-cylinder, it feels pretty torquey. I think the transmission helps out quite a bit.

Should You Consider Buying The 2024 Toyota RAV4?

Overall, we like this limited package, and we like the features that it provides. We like the interior, and all of that said, we don't know if this is the RAV4's sweet spot. We got to do a few more packages here for the 2024 model year, but yeah, compared to the competition, it is a little bit more expensive than an equivalent CRV, but it also has more features than the last CR-V, which was loaded with features. Plus, you get not a CVT but a torque converter automatic, so maybe that's also worth paying a little bit extra for!
