The 2024 Bimmer 3 Series Brings Luxury And Fun Together!

This 2024 BMW 330i has a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder that goes to an 8-speed automatic transmission! Fuel consumption stands at 24 MPG around town and 33 on the highway, with power outputs being 255 hp and then 295 lb-ft of torque.

Sharp Looks Win The Game

Starting with the hood, there are some really cool body lines on either side, and of course, the BMW logo is front and center! Then, popping down below, we love the daytime running headlamp; it's a really sharp design, and accompanying that, you have the signature kidney grille, which has been blacked out.

The same thing with the trim at the bottom, and putting it all together, this has such a sharp appearance, and the black on black looks really good!

Popping around the side of the 2024 BMW 3 Series, the tire-wheel setup is 225/40R19 in the front and over in the rear. The wheel design is all blacked out, and the brake caliper is red to create some contrast! Love the look of the fender as well! All the mirror caps and door handles are also blacked out, and the same thing is true of the window trim. Putting it all together, we think it looks really good! Again, the contrast between the black and the red with the brake calipers really pops out!

A quick look at the key fob, and it gets the unlocking and lock functions; we've got the opening function for the trunk; and it has the M colors on the side. Speaking of the said trunk, the storage space is actually really solid, and that's one of the biggest benefits of the 3 Series! Even though it's a smaller BMW, it's still very practical. Adding to that sweetness, you have to love it when you get a button that you can press to lower the trunk!

Closing the boot, the 2024 330i gets this small blacked-out spoiler, and then you have the badges as well. We've always been fans of the new style of tail lights here on the 3 Series, and below that, it has parking sensors, finishing it off with the really cool-looking exhaust tips!

A User-Friendly Interior That Screams Quality!

Now, popping inside, there's a soft touch on the top of the door panel as well as down below. Then it has a cool little ambient lighting strip, along with some speakers for the Harman Kardon sound system! These seats come with stitching, and they’re perforated all down the center portion.

The legroom here in the back is actually pretty good, and then it’s got some vent action around the climate zone in the rear. We also have some USB action, and we have, of course, our cupholder armrest. Last but not least, the headroom is good as well!

The front door panel has soft touch material and ambient light strip action just like the rear panels, accompanied by all of our window controls. The mirrors do power-folding and blind spot monitoring, and they have memory seats as well. Talking about the seats, these are perforated all down the center portion, just like the rear seats. Plus, we've got our power adjustments here on the side, and there’s the light control under the dash.

The steering wheel gets soft touch all around and the M logo at the bottom, and then there is a heated steering wheel button on the steering wheel itself, all your practical controls in the front paddle shifters on the back for the 8-speed automatic, and then your regular stocks there on the back. The gauge cluster is a fully digital one, and the cool thing is that it actually changes with the drive modes, which we find kind of a fun part of the car!

In reverse, we have a backup camera with trajectory lines that turn with the steering wheel, and the resolution of the camera is really good. As for the rest of the infotainment system, this is BMW's newer unit, and so it does take a second for some of the pages to load up, but overall response time is really good, and you basically have this itemized tab for everything!

It's a very German way to go about an infotainment system, but it really works really well, and it's easy to use and easy to access the climate stuff!

We have heated seats, by the way, which is really cool! There’s soft-touch trim at the top of the dash, and at the trim down below, you have vents in the center, and you have the analog control for, like, the radio, and then some stuff for the climate control.

Other than that, you’ve got a wireless phone charging pad, some USB action, a couple of cup holders, and a 12-volt socket. And then in the center control stacks, we've got the controls for the infotainment system, gear selector right next to it, stability control, parking sensors, auto-stop-start, all of your drive modes, auto-hold, and then the parking brake.

Then, in the center console behind this, you have some USB action, and there is nice padding here on the top as well. And talking about storage, the glove box has good storage space inside of it. Last but not least, we do have a sunroof up top as well.

The 2024 BMW 330i has a base MSRP of $46,500, but the one we have for review has tons of options, resulting in a total MSRP of $56,060.

Finally, How Does The 2024 BMW 3 Series Drive?

Driving the 2024 BMW 330i, first off, seat comfort in the three series is actually really good; we love the perforated seats. We do find it interesting that in luxury cars, they don't just do ventilated seats as standardizations; these seats are perfectly set up for ventilated function, perforated perforations, and all.

The thing about this powertrain is that it feels way punchier than the power figures suggest. It's one of the things that's impressive about the 330i, and not just in our 330i but just this 2.0-liter four-cylinder from BMW, it definitely punches above its pay grade, that is for sure! It moves; it definitely gets up and moves—just way more than 255 horsepower.

In contrast, we just had a C-Class as a demo car the other week, and this definitely feels way punchier than the C-Class, and the power figures are pretty much identical. We think that BMW is just all about underrating their cars from a power perspective.

Does The 2024 BMW 330i Make Any Sense Or Should You Rely On Its Rivals?

So, like here's the high point: we think that the 2024 BMW 330i drives really well, like it's very comfortable with the ride quality, also drives really well, and it's fast. From a price point perspective, the C class that we had was like $60,000; this is $56,000, so a little bit less money when it comes to the pricing as well.

So we just think that the value proposition that they are providing here with the 3 series is really appealing. The only thing we just wish for every single luxury automaker, not just the BMWs, is that they would just make air-conditioned seats standard across the board because that's like just one of the things you associate with luxury cars, and if you can get it on, you know, some cars that are like $30,000 and something, on a $50,000 luxury car, that's not too unreasonable to ask for equipment-wise. Even if they feel like they need to charge like a 500-dollar package!

Audi A4 and Mercedes-Benz C-Class

We still think that this is the most well-rounded car in this segment compared to the Audi A4 and the Mercedes-Benz C Class. The Audi is a really good daily driver but not really fun to drive; the Mercedes is also a really good daily driver but not really fun to drive, whereas this is a good daily driver and it's fun to drive, so we feel like you just get a much more balanced vehicle.
